One of the major ways to spot a fad diet is by their timeline. I’ve seen 1 week diet, 5 week diet, 6 week diet, 12 week diet. You shouldn’t be going on a “diet.” You should be learning about healthier choices and ways to change your lifestyle and keep it off. I mean there are the 6 week workout plans. But my question would be, what happens after that?
Do you go back to your old ways, do you stop exercising after that, do you have to look for a new workout plan? I mean let’s think realistically here. What is the plan supposed to be after those few weeks are over? If they don’t provide an after plan or really anything, that’s a big red flag. I mean I understand, trust me I do, that you want to jump start your plan, lose weight fast now. But then do you want to plateau? Do you want to gain the weight back?
No, that’s not the idea! You want to maintain whatever look you get. So like I said, they have to have a real follow-up plan. Otherwise, you can’t really hope for a real diet rather than going on another yo yo diet cycle like you have most likely already been on before. It’s just the way it works in general terms.
