Acai Berry Weight Loss

The acai berry has been largely hyped for weight loss.  It has been highly hyped for detoxification as well.  But if you look into the reality of things, it’s like a lot of other “Brazilian wonders.”  It doesn’t actually have any of the major effects they describe, and quite frankly, it’s not that special.  Blueberries have higher antioxidant capabilities for example.  So that is definitely not something that’s all that great. 

As far as the nutrients you will find in acai in general, it’s not all that much better.  Yes, it has good fatty acids, but then there are also good fatty acids in certain other fruits and vegetables along with the other vitamins and minerals in general.  I’m not really a big fan of acai in general in case you can’t tell.  I just don’t think it’s all that great, and frankly while any fruit could help if supplemented into a healthy diet, the powder that you will get acai in is not going to do the same things, especially not in this little pill form.  It’s all about the hype instead of about facts.
